I’m really excited to be able to bring this fun writing project to you! The idea came from some other fabulous grade 1 teachers in Lethbridge. Each day we will 'read' another section of the book to you. What's special about this book, is that it truly is a picture book. It has NO WORDS! Bill Thomson is an extraordinary artist, and tells this amazing story of three children and a bag of chalk. Your job, is to listen to the story, as read by the teacher, then to write your words for each page. You can use blank paper or your journal. 1.Today we’re playing Subi-Swat. I showed you this a few weeks ago. You’ll need sticky notes (or pieces of paper) and a fly swatter if you have it (you can use your hand if you don’t). First you’ll need to prep your board. I’ve attached pre-made dot cards but you can certainly make your own if you don’t have a printer. Here’s the video explaining how to play:
